The deposit for the hull engines can only be refunded if the old engine is returned complete and is still in a condition that can be overhauled. The crankshaft, connecting rod and block must be undamaged. We will retain part of the deposit for damaged connecting rods or crankshafts; if the block is damaged (hairline cracks or similar) or too worn, we must retain the entire deposit. Grinding the crankshaft usually costs around €500.00. There is a cost of around €50.00 per damaged connecting rod.
We can arrange for your old part to be returned for you for an additional charge.
