Original Bosch 0280 130 214 Temperature timer switch is responsible for controlling the cold start valve.

The thermal timer limits the injection time of the cold-start valve depending on the engine temperature. It is housed in a hollow threaded bolt which is fixed at a point characteristic of the engine temperature.

When the engine is cold, the thermal timer is closed so that the cold-start valve injects.bs When starting a warm engine, on the other hand, the switch is open so that no additional fuel is injected.

Furthermore, the maximum injection time of the cold-start valve is limited so that the engine does not become too rich and "drown".

The remanufactured thermal timer switch has an electronic interior and is therefore largely wear-free.
