Durable fuel pump from the manufacturer Pierburg.

Vane pump incl. mounting material can be used for Fiat 124 Spider up to year of construction 79.

Attention: If your pump is defective, be sure to check whether there is rust or other impurities in your tank, as the fuel is only cleaned after the pump! If you do not take this into account, the new pump will also fail quickly!

The fuel pump draws fuel from the tank and pushes it via a ring line to the electromagnetically operated injection valves and the electric start valve. The fuel pressure is kept constant by a fuel regulator.

The excess fuel flows back to the tank without pressure. A fuel filter between the fuel pump and the injection valves retains impurities.

When the ignition is switched on, the pump only runs as long as the starter is operated. If the engine is running, the electronic control unit switches the pump on. This safety circuit prevents the cylinders from filling up with fuel when the ignition is switched on (full-run safety device).
